From research notebook to live deployment

A validated edge is still only research until it survives the jump to live execution. This module covers the research-to-live gap, paper-trading discipline, promotion through the Edge Lab lifecycle, and the monitoring rules that keep a live bot honest.

In this module

  1. The research-to-live gap
  2. What actually changes when you go live
  3. Paper trading is not optional
  4. Promotion through the Edge Lab lifecycle
  5. Live monitoring checklist
  6. Kill criteria must be written before you go live
  7. Where FreqEdge helps
  8. Key takeaways
Practice

Prepare one edge for paper or live

Open Edge Lab and pick an edge that has reached PROVEN (or a strong VALIDATED edge). Write the exact paper-to-live checklist you will follow: sizing, monitoring metrics, kill criteria, and how long you will stay in paper before any size increase. Come back with the checklist written down.
